This a great book with a great body of work from Douglas Kirkland. Rather than supply a single synonym, many are provided for a variety of meanings, allowing readers to better grasp the ambiguity of the English language, and avoid using the notes as a pure crutch. He's honesty changed my life. The back story of trying to find the Struma was interesting, but it was not the reason I read this book.
